- Introduction of different Intrastat exemption thresholds
From 1 January 2010, the current single Intrastat threshold will increase for imports and decrease for exports
- New information requirements for service-sector businesses
From 28 December 2009, businesses selling services in the UK and/or European Economic Area must give customers certain information
- New sampling and other controls for Salmonella in turkey flocks
On 1 January 2010, a national programme for the monitoring and control of Salmonella in turkeys comes into force
- New identification and traceability rules for sheep and goats
From 31 December 2009, you must use electronic identification for sheep and individually record sheep and goats
- Revised requirements for food-packaging materials and substances
From 19 December 2009, new rules apply to active and intelligent materials and articles that are used to wrap food
